Can I install hair right out of the pack?

For best results please wash and condition all hair before install. We recommend a non sulfate shampoo and a moisturizing conditioner.

Is there any special way to wash the hair?

Step 1.) Completely wet the hair with warm water gently stroking in a downward motion.

Step 2.) Put a generous amount of shampoo in hand, lather and rub shampoo throughout hair moving in a DOWNWARD MOTION. Never rub hair back and forth this will cause tangling. Lather hair, cleanse and rinse.

Step 4.) Rinse hair completely, spray a few sprays of dry oil for moisture. (If curly, spray a light leave in conditioner to define curls).

Step 5.) Add a lightweight oil or serum.

Step 6.) Let hair air dry or blow dry on warm heat.

Step 7.) Style as desired.

Are there any tips for hair care?

1.) Always wash hair going in a downward motion. Never rub hair up and down repeatedly this will cause tangling and matting.

2.) NEVER rake or finger comb dry hair. This will rip the hair from the track. ALWAYS START FROM THE BOTTOM SLOWLY DETANGLING AND WORKING YOUR WAY UP THE HAIR.

3.) LESS IS BETTER. A light weight oil such as an argon oil or serum is great for our raw hair. For textured hair such as curly, using a water and conditioner mix will define the curls beautifully!

4.) ALWAYS tie your frontal or closure completely down when sleeping with a silk scarf. You do not want to put the hair in a bonnet only. Tie down the frontal piece and put a bonnet on the rest of the hair.

5.) ALWAYS detangle hair GENTLY from the bottom to the top.

6.) BE GENTLE with your lace to prolong the longevity of it.

7.) ALWAYS get a professional to color your hair to prevent damage.

8.) Use a heat protectant when using hot tools.

Please note the following are rare instances:

Why does my hair have a funny smell?

Our factories wash tons of raw hair every week, air dry, weft and store. Even though we use hair deodorizer to maintain a fresh aroma we encourage customers to wash and condition their bundles to refresh them. This does not mean our hair has been mixed with synthetic hair or "bad" it just means it has been stored for a little time and needs a good wash.

I found a string and/or debris in my hair. Is it mixed with synthetic fibers or fillers?

No. We are 100% raw company. When our hair is being made into a weft it goes through industrial sewing machines in our factory which houses cloth tags for other custom raw request. A string or debris very rarely is get caught up in the weft when the workers are creating the bundle. This does not mean hair is bad or mixed it simply means a little debris has gotten caught in the weft during the construction.

I found a grey hair and/or colored strands in my hair. Is my hair bad?

No. Sometimes our donors may have a gray strand or a streak of color in their hair when we collect it. This does not mean the hair is bad it simply means the particular donor had a grey strand or some color upon collection. We try our best to pick out the non-uniformed hairs but sometimes we may miss it. Please remove and wear as desired.

Why is one of my wefts are a little shorter than the other bundle of hair?

Our raw hair is weighed on a scale 3.2-3.5 ounces and then sewn on a sewing machine. There may be a slight variation in the length of weft however you are still getting the ounces of hair you have paid for. Each factory worker may add in hair more heavily than the next worker but all hair has been weighed and you will get the ounces you have paid for. If in doubt please weigh with a scale to check.

Why does one of my bundles feel dry?

When hair is cut from the human head the hair no longer gets the natural oil the body supplies to the scalp. Sometimes the hair may be a little dry due to the disconnect from the human head however a good deep condition and a light weight oil will restore moisture.

Why is my hair tangling and matting?

Our raw and body wavy hair should not tangle and matte excessively. Please contact customer service if you are experiencing this. For curly hair or any textured hair you will have some tangling underneath the nape due to the hair rubbing against the neck all day. Please gently detangle starting at the ends and braid it in pigtails. Please remember LESS PRODUCT IS BETTER. Too much product can weigh the hair down and cause it to tangle.

Hair will experience slight shedding due to hair being sewn on to a weft. ALWAYS gently comb hair from bottom to top in sections. NEVER finger rake dry hair or be too rough.

Why is there an outline on my closure/frontal?

Our Swiss lace closures and frontals are handmade as well as the pre plucked hairlines. Our workers sometime use a clear string as a guideline or faint drawn line to help keep in boundaries with ventilating the hairlines. Simply cut the string upon install or wash away the line. The products are still good to use the line is for a guideline for the hairline.
